Silk Scarf Storage
- Unfold it first if there is a knot on the scarf;
- Flatten and fold neatly in the wardrobe;
- Don’t put heavy clothes on the scarf to avoid the hard wrinkle.
Silk Scarf Clean and Wash
- Clean the silk scarf after using it several times;
- Hand wash is highly recommended for its delicacy except your washing machine has a silk setting. Don’t wash with excessive clothes together, or silk scarves could be deformed from the intertwining with other clothing.
- If dirty from tea or juice, soak the scarf with neutral detergent solution or 10% acetic acid diluted solution; if from the lipsticks, the warm soap solution or a little gasoline could work; If blood, the warm soap water or ammonia liquid can do the job; If ink, put a little cooked rice on the stain, wipe the rice with a cloth repeatedly, and then rinse with clean water.
- Air dry silk scarf in the shade. Do not expose the silk scarf in the sunlight, or it will turn yellow or fade.
- Press the silk scarf only when it is really necessary. Set the Iron to the silk setting or the low temperature and cover the silk scarf with a piece of cloth during pressing. A fast and gentle movement is suggested for pressing.
